RFID Automated Skynet DD2050 Truck Scale Kiosk System

The Problem
Improve the truck inbound and outbound process by upgrading the existing truck scale kiosks. Additional pre-existing truck process challenges also include:
- Each truck scale kiosk is running independently without a shared database.
- If a truck scale goes down, there is no way to make the running truck scale an inbound and outbound scale.
- Current software is obsolete, and the customer needs to add more functionality including reports, a shared database with multiple sites, and a revamp of the truck transaction workflow.
SKYNET 2050 Self-Service Kiosk
The SKYNET 2050 Self-Service Kiosk empowers weighing operations through automation. Transition an existing scale to self-service by connecting to an existing NTEP-approved weight indicator in your scale house, or install a full solution by adding a mounted enclosure and indicator at the scale.
The Solution
- Replace existing truck scale kiosks with new SKYNET 2050 kiosks.
- Set up SKYNET 2050 kiosks to share a database allowing each kiosk to run as an inbound or outbound kiosk.
- Add RFID readers to each SKYNET 2050 kiosk to allow the same daily trucks to speed up truck transactions by scanning cards and not prompting manual entry on the kiosk screen.
- Install ScaleSoft truck transaction software with unattended license and ASP.Net remote license.
- Unattended license allows each SKYNET 2050 kiosk to run transactions with ScaleSoft and remove the need for a scale house operator.
- ASP.Net license creates a web interface allowing remote users to log in to ScaleSoft to run reports, reprint transaction tickets, and monitor day-to-day operations.
- Customize SKYNET 2050 kiosks to read RFID cards, which pull data from ScaleSoft, including all truck information and stored tare weights.
- Schedule daily transaction reports to email a distribution group at the end of every day.
