The BT-470 LED Remote Display provides operators and drivers with a clear view of weight data from a distance. Bright red LEDs and 4.7-inch characters provide visibility up to about 170 feet, while automatic brightness adjustment helps maintain readability in changing daylight conditions. The 40 x 8 pixel full-matrix display supports both numeric and alphanumeric information, allowing the unit to display weight readings, status information and other configured messages.

The BT-470 supports Ethernet, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485 and 20 mA digital current loop communication. Its Auto-Learn functionality can automatically interpret incoming indicator data, helping simplify setup across a wide range of weighing systems. Communication ports are optically isolated to help protect against ground loops and surge voltage.

Built for industrial environments, the BT-470 uses a durable powder-coated steel enclosure with IP65 protection. A drop-down electronics carriage provides easy access to internal components during installation, configuration and service. Wall-mount and pole-mount configurations are available, with a visor available for outdoor applications.

For applications requiring vehicle movement control, the BT-470 is also available with integrated red and green traffic lights. The traffic signals can be controlled through the weighing indicator or dry-contact control, combining weight visibility and vehicle direction in a single unit.

The BT-470 can receive RS232, RS422, RS485, 20ma Digital Current Loop, and Ethernet Communications.  As an additional feature, all ports are optically isolated for ground loop and surge voltage protection.

Make sure to set your indicator as TCP/IP server, then using the web server to configure the scoreboard (Enter 192.168.1.11 in web browser), set the protocol to #53 or #54 B-TEK String, save, then enter the indicators IP address to connect.

There are several ways, first you could use the wagset software to enter advertising text, or no data text.  If you prefer to send the alpha text from your indicator, replace the weight data characters with alpha characters in the B-TEK String.
